I have one shrimp in my tank, i believe its a Blue shrimp, and on its shell its been accumulating alot of green algae, it looks like green spot powdery algae growing on its shell.

Is this normal for a specific kind of shrimp? because none of my other shrimps in the tank have that green fuzz growing on it. And once the shrimp molts its gone for a week or so and itll start growing green algae again on the shell.

Not that I know of. But I guess it might be possible. Are you sure is algae?

I'm with milalic are you sure it's algea? and not a fungus or something?
