Is there any reason that Akro Agate/slag glass pots would not be safe to use in aquariums with fish, shrimp, and snails to hold plants or to use as a hide?

There is evidence that liquid can leech components from ALL colored glass . When I make vessels to be used for drink ware, I always put a layer of clear over the color. This is more of a concern in borosilicate glass than in soft glass, and these pots are soft glass. Since akro agate makes dishes to be used for food and drink, I would assume there glass has been well tested and won't leech any measurable amount of anything in to the water.

That being said, I have put colored glass of all kinds in to my tanks over the years and have never had any issues. My tanks are full of failed projects and fancy marbles.
