Hi everyone,

I'm about to set up my pressurized Co2 in my 55, and currently I have an airstone in there. I thought I read somewhere that you shouldn't have airstones in tanks with pressurized Co2. I know its best to have surface agitation, which I should be ok, as I have the spray bar at the surface, but is it also best to remove the airstone once it's set up?

would also love an answer to this as I am going to set up my pressurized co2 tank in my 55 as well. I was wondering since i have plant and fish should i have th co2 on and the o2 on at the same time or would this defeat the purpose.....sry if this is a stupid question

You would run either, co2 on a day cycle and air atone on the night cycle as not to suffocate the animals in the tank. There's no benefit to running simultaneously as it would be counterproductive.

Ok thanks. Was planning on just running the co2 during the day anyway, so will also set up the air stone for night time only.
