Did they indicate the amount of coverage on the side and how do these compare to plant 3.0 or wrgb 2.0 ?

If i'm reading the par graph at the bottom of the page it seems that they only have about 7 inch coverage (3 1/2 on each side?) So a 12 inch wide tank would require two ?

bulkreef has their prices listed but the size are a bit weird - for example a 40B is 36 inch wide and many vendors sell 36 inch light - but they have a 30 inch @ 239.99 or a 39 inch @ 329; price wise and wattage wise it seems to be a bit stronger than plant 3.0 but a bit less than wrgb pro - i didn't bother to compute the price/watt for comparison but these have a huge advantage over the wrgb2 being ip66 (well i consider it a huge advantage).

Brs had a teaser vid on their upcoming release of analysing 50 reef LEDs.
"If" I saw it right the cost was sub-$2 per watt.
It MAY have been $'s per par though
Still was the lowest.

They listed 7 sizes from 12" to 66".
Sadly due to module- ization (6 diode group panels ) a 36" seems to not fit.

36" became the new 30".

Looks interesting! Coming from marine, and correct me if I’m wrong, but I always thought RGB led arrays produce the best colours visually for freshwater? However, I still prefer a fuller spectrum like these new units.

So here are some weak comparison between ghl lx7006 vs blade 66"
lx7006: price $900; watt 195 # to cover 10'x4' aquarium: 5 (4500): total watt 975
blade 66" $600; watt 140; # to cover 10'x4' aquarium: 6 (3600): total watt 840
-
Now this is a horrible comparison because it does not talk about uniformity of light nor par, 'visual quality of light' and a number of other factors. I believe the warranty on the lx7006 is 2 years and 1 year for the blade
-
Not sure how much the hanging kit cost for the blade or if they are required to hang the light; also not sure if the 4 or 5 hanging kit are wide enough or if multiple hanging kits are required. Lots of unknown - and getting info from ai is next to impossible.

Regarding the blades most of those are answered . Depending on length you get tank mounts ( flush) or hanging kit.
For Blades sized up to 39.1 inches the Low Profile Tank Rest is included The tank rest extends up to 4.5 inches on either side of the blade (for a total of 9 inches).
There are riser legs available as an add on purchase.

Hmmm hanging kit may not be included in the larger lights but memory says a single hanging kit was included.

It doesn't say if hanging kit is included as far as i can tell (riser won't work); it also doesn't seem to say how decent the coverage is on the sides - so it is not clear if 3 rows are sufficient (6 lights) or how high to hang them and still get decent par. The other thing i couldn't figure out is they have these kits for hanging multiple lights but i can't tell how wide they are - on the surface they look pretty narrow and perhaps they are geared towards the salt water solution - not sure.

Yea bunch of stuff to work out yet
One correction on my part, the larger lights just give you brackets to attach to the hms mount system ( seperate purchase).
HMS hanging kit as an example:

Another comparison (again watts isn't everything):
30 inch blade: 60 watt $239/3.98 per watt
wrgb2 90cm: 100 watt $279/2.79 per watt
-
I actually don't love the visual look of the wrgb2 spectrum - likely because it lacks the white led but still it is quite a bit stronger. I run my wrgb2 at 55% on a 40B. I might pick up a blade 30 to test on the 40B if it comes out in a reasonable amount of time.

The wrgb2 pro 90cm is $379 /100 watt or 3.79 still a few cents cheaper than the blade.

The wrgb series is not sealed against water so i would think that over time condensation would be an issue (mine is only a year old). Also not sure how the lens impact things or if the shimmer effect of the blade is a plus or minus. Still I think it would be worth testing a 30.

They say it will be shipping on the 18th so maybe i'll check back then.

For those who care i picked up the 30 inch blade to 'test' - nothing scientific yet - might measure par later this week - here is pictures:
Plant Plant community Terrestrial plant Vegetation Organism

Automotive lighting Rectangle Bumper Automotive exterior Event

This is the tank with plant 3.0 (not a lot of difference but the blade is a bit less yellow as expected):
Plant Terrestrial plant Natural landscape Wood Aquatic plant

(I have the blade set at 70% in the above picture - the plant 3.0 was set around 82% - here are numbers since the different led are set different:
red 89 blue 26 blue-white 72 white 86 yellow 79
(that was from the plant profile adjusted in brightness)

the fluval 30 inch light is 32 watts while the blade is 60 watt

I measured the par this morning - at 15 inches (bottom of tank - 2 inch substrate and 1 inch sensor height) i was seeing 60 par with the light set to 65%; at the very top around 500. So at 100% the lights should be near 100 par directly under at the bottom of an 18 inch aquarium with 2 inches of substrate - this is under the light - a bit less on the edges.

I want to thank @jake21 for publishing your initial findings! I, too, am interested in how this light compares to others on the market.

Most recently I came across the Waterbox Eden setups, and saw that if you were to purchase the "combo" kit, it comes with a canister filter as well as one (1) AI Blade FW depending on the length of the chosen tank. I'll be interested to see if one light will be enough for 'most' plants, or if we find two will be needed given these tanks are ~16" wide and ~22" high.
