Hi All,

I am truly sorry that AH Supply is closing its' doors, they were a great resource for our hobby for many, many years. Kim always provided me with excellent guidance and advice.
@burr740,

I use the 2-6-10 lamps in my 2X55 watt CFL on my 75 gallon in conjunction with a Marineland Doublebright LED. The lamps have a purple-ish cast that reminds me of the old Sylvania Gro-Lux bulbs; the reds and blues really 'pop' and the plants do well too.

Time marches on! Farriers went out of business when automobiles and good roads became common. Now suppliers of DIY PC light parts are inevitably going to lose business now that LED lights, both DIY and pre-made, are common. As soon as plastic plants that grow and reproduce become common natural plant dealers will go out of business. That will take more than a few months.

Ummm plastic plants grow and reproduce? Wouldn't it be easier to make zombie real plants that never die under whatever conditions?

Genetic modifications haven't been tried much with aquatic plants, so who knows what will be coming along? I liked my old plastic plants because they never did die on me, and I never once had to prune them. With today's science it should be pretty simple to modify their DNA so they grow and reproduce. What could go wrong???:nerd:
