Age of driftwood.

Can driftwood be too old? Not exactly sure on the type of wood.

If driftwood is kept underwater for a very long time, it begins to disintegrate with time...is that what you are asking?

If you keep driftwood outside the aquarium, it can never be "too old".
Yes and no. I was washing/brushing some wood which is now soaking it seemed to "flake" off. Idk hard to explain thanks for the reply.
Are you sure it is not the bark that is peeling off?
yes its not the bark ill let it soak and see what happens. Thanks trial and error is the best teacher.
