African River Plants for Theme tank

Ok, I'm trying to plan my african riverine tank. It's going to be either in a 40 long, or a 55 gallon. (Haven't decided yet.)

It will be stocked with:

Pelvicachromis Taeniatus (2 pairs)
Congo Tetras (6 or so)
African Butterfly Fish (3)
I will probably have some kind of bristlenose pleco in there because I like having them in my planted tanks, and because I have 4 babies I acquired. (and yes, I know plecos aren't African)

Now, I need to know what sort of plants will fit into my theme. I'd like to stick with African plants if possible. So any suggestions? I have some Anubias Barteri which I believe is African, but I'm not 100% on that.

I believe bolbitis, some types of vallisneria and hairgrass (eleocharis) are native to Africa

Good call on the taeniatus. Had a wild caught pair in a 29G planted that were just beautiful. Even got them to spawn for me and ended up with a dozen fry

Thanks here's one of my males. They are F1 fry from the TFH Breeders Challenge. About 5-6 months now.

Anubias and Bolbitis are the way to go. Both are commonly found in African streams.
