I'd like to move my lighting period to later in the day, by maybe 4 hours + later. Will this shock the plants based on the circadian rhythm they currently have if I do it abruptly, or is it advised to do it over a longer period of time, little by little?

Although I've done it with abandon, I don't recall the reaction. However, if I were to do it again, I would do it gradually - perhaps doing the shift by a half-hour each week. The reason is that my plants do start to close-up about an hour before lights out. They definitely learn to conform to a schedule.

Thanks Deanna and minorhero. Yeah I was hoping I could just brute force the switch since I have everything on separate timers. Thanks for the advice!
