Advice for temp quarantine tank

I am getting some Amazonia at the end of the week and plan on rescapeing my 45 and spec 5. Both have live stock. I'm getting a 10 gal for my few fish that I have in my 45 and have everything needed for it. My concern is my betta that I keep in my spec. Could I just put him in a fish bowl and do 50% WC a day or would it be better to get a breeder box and hang him in the 10 gal? Both of my tanks sit have almost identical water parameters so it shouldn't be a big shock for him.

I plan on ordering tropica TC for both tanks at once to save on shipping so that's why I was going to breakdown both tanks at once. Will Tropica TC keep for awhile?
