How soon does one need to add inorganic fertilizers if one is using aquasoil amazonia as the substrate? Assuming that the tank is heavily planted and is a low light non co2 tank. I've read on many forums that aquasoil provides all the required nutrients for 3 months or so, aftter which one can start dosing ferts...is this right?

What about plants like anubias and java ferns? Since they are tied to rocks/driftwood where will they get the nutrients from?

I'd assume from nutrients leaking from the amazonia.

With anubias and java ferns you will probably be good for a very long time(years maybe)

Probably also depends on if you're doing water changes, frequency and amount.

So, in a hi tech tank Amazonia nutrients is only good for 3-6 months?

If one starts dosing in small amounts right from the beginning, the amazonia nutrients should last longer than 6 months
