Added CO2 Plants Dying?

382 Views 4 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  Rex Grigg
I have a 75G tank, 170wpg, using excel flourish and root tabs. I have been doing 2bps on the CO2 into the Rena XP3. Lights are on for 10 hours a day. Any ideas? Added the CO2 2 weeks ago.

You might try adding some water column ferts.
Those would be? I had tank a while before adding the CO2 and everything was fine. Now not so. Can I just remove the CO2.
I think rex is saying that your tank might be lacking some micro nutrients such as pottassium, phosphates or nitrates.

There is always a limiting factor. Your limiting factor was CO2. You added CO2. The plants used up all the nutrients in the tank and are now starving to death.
