Hi everyone,
I currently have 2 established tanks. (1) 10G PFR only tank and (1) 20G long Celestial Pearls, Pigmy Cories, Endlers, and a few RCS's. Pressurized paintball co2 on 20g and diy co2 on 10g.
I will be getting my new Fluval Ebi on Friday. I ordered an extra lamp with it as well. I want to start CRS in this tank when it is established and ready. I know that they require lower ph then RCS and PFR's. I wanted to add ADA Seiryu Stones and Driftwood to this tank. I've got HC and Marimo balls on the way as well. My questions are as follows...
Although ADA Seiryu raises ph will it be a harmful rise to CRS?
Although driftwood lowers ph will it balance out the rise from the stone?
What kind of driftwood is safe for shrimp?
Should I add only one or the other?
I will have (2) 13W 6500K Fluval compact Flouro's over the tank. Can DIY Co2 lower the ph enough with the above tank decor?
Tap water measures 7.6 or so. I've been using that for both my other tanks with no problems. (just adding de-chlorinator)
Current tank parameters in both established tanks are
0 Ammonia
0 Nitrites
< 5 Nitrates
ph 6.4-6.8
My brain is mush from all the contradicting things I have read on different websites!!! I would so much appreciate your advice!
Thank you!
