For those wondering how to get perfect results from ADA Aqua soil - my method that WORKED miracles was to add the aqua soil amazon to your tank then add UP AQUA SOIL (another substrate) and mix the two substrates together - looks quite nice and natural actually
Up Aqua actually helps clear the water but you have the added nutrients from both substrates which drive plant growth!
Also fill the water slowly till it covers the plants, then plant, then fill half way run your filter for a few hours/days till it clears up (mine cleared in an hour!) with the planting and fiddling with the substrate as well!
soon you will have ammonia nitrite and nitrate and your tank is cycle within 2 weeks
This worked for me in my 10 gallon just to test and it worked like a charm! hope this helps others overcome cloudy water issues, there is no harm in mixing aqua soil with UP Aqua Soil - the grains are pretty much similar size except slightly different colors
Good to hear your tank is doing well but did you ever use aquasoil by itself? If so, how were you disappointed enough in the results that you got to make you want to try mixing two substrates?
I will upload some tonight got to tell you though I added a cycled filter in that tank and it crashed! the ammonia nitrites and nitrates all at once were through the roof! but it calmed down after a while lol
ive only got a few blyxa hairgrass and two small swords in it for now and will replace them with HC and glosso
