Hi Im interested in getting an ADA 60p Cube Garden its about 18gal. 24x12x14inch. My question is would a 65w 6500k pc be enough light (3.6wpg) and pressurized co2. I plan to scape it as an iwagumi with glosso, hc, and riccia. live stock would be CRS and nano fish like gold tetra or rasboras. Any suggestions? Does any one have a similar tank? thanx.

ok my tank is coming this week. ive decided to go with t5 ho. Is 2x24w HO T5's enough for 18 gal. staff @ aqua forrest say it is enough to grow anything. or will i regret it. My other option is current 4x 24w T5HO or aquamedic 4x24w T5's. A seller on ebay offers a 2X24wHO hanging fixture with 6400k bulbs (4000 total lumens) that looks alot like tek lights for a good price, so far thats my first choice due to the price and look. any suggestion?

Sorry to bump an old thread, but what fixture did you end up getting?

I want to get rid of my 65w coralife for something brighter. Was thinking about the 4x 24w current also

4x24HO would be to much, NO on the other hand would work better.
I use 2x36 I built with AHSupply kit which is more than enough in
the hanging position.

2X24 will be too much as well unless ferts and C02 are in check.

I figured 2x24w is slightly more than a 65w cp. So I'll a little over doubling the light.

I plan on dry ferts and I already have pressurized CO2

I went with the current 4x24 with moon lights. All 4 were on for a noon burst but I leave 2 on for 10hrs a day. I swapped out the actinics for current pink plant grow bulbs.. The 11k/pink bulb combo works great. Clear crisp water color and bright colorful fish and plants.
