My 14 and 11 year old kids are interested in having an aquarium in their rooms. I’d like to go with acrylic to reduce the risk of breakage from a careless knock or bump and possibly an all in in one to reduce the chances of a return tube finding it’s way out of the tank by accident. Any recommendations on what might fit this need? I’m thinking in the 5-15 gallon range.

I personally think it doesn’t really matter because if you drop that tank it’s going to break or crack no matter the material ,but yes go with acrylic it doesn’t easily leak

Get a 10 gallon

a ten gallon opens up way more options for stocking and it isn’t too big and hard to maintain but of course the bigger the better

You could go with a sea clear kit, they make a ten gallon flat-back hex, I think I have a 40 gallon tank from them, and it’s doing great.

as long as they like the hobby I’m thirteen and do most of the maintenance and care for 4+ tanks, and there has never been a “accidental bump”
