I’m looking for a bracket/holder which can house a few large plants, that will effectively keep the plant above tank, but have the roots in the aquarium, so a plant like Pothos I believe will probably be best?
But what can I use for this holder? Are there already existing designs? I’ve had a Google but only can find Etsy products which are extortionately priced and refuse to purchase of Etsy because of that.
off topic story, I found a guy on Etsy who basically converted very cheap vivariums (VixExotic) was the brand I believe, max £60 brand new and basically cut a hole in the bottom and attached a piece of plastic as a slope, labelled it “above tank turtle basking platform” so I messaged for a price and he came back with £2200
But basically going into a tank which has two turtles in, it’s bare bottom (well slate tiles) so can’t plant and wouldn’t even consider planting with soil with them two in there.
Or if anyone else has any ideas, plants that only require water column nutrients, methods to house the plant which will also protect it from a hungry turtle, water is 12 inches deep, tank is 24 inches tall, so I have 12+ inches of space to fill
