So, I've seen pics of different mosses (java, willow, christmas, etc) and they all really look quite similar.

I'm looking to get a droopy, tendrilly, kinda look going on the different branches of my driftwood. Does it really matter which moss I choose? Will they all eventually get that look? I understand that the actually leaf pattern will differ, but will all of them pretty much grow in the same manner when they're tied to the branches?

Flame moss grow upwards, christmas moss grows down like the fronds of a xmas tree, Taiwan moss grows horizontally etc. so each one is different.

java grows straight out with no side shoots, the most ugly, easily manageable moss.

There are subtle differences between each moss but you do have to look for them. At a glance there really isn't any difference BUT if you look there is a lot of differences between all of them.

What about willow moss? Will it get the aforementioned long and droopy willow tree look?
