Has anyone tried putting these bulbs: 96 Watt - Day Bulbs

The Hellolights or Coralife brand 96W bulbs into an Orbit fixture? The Current USA and Coralife bulbs are both square pin so it should fit...right?

so all square pin PC bulbs should work in your fixture.

And how do you like the 8800K color temperature?

keep in mind I'm photographing PC light bulbs while they are ON,
so obviously I had to dim the photo considerably to make the
bulb labels legible. 8800k is fine, hardly different from 10,000k.
I just got them cheap at $15 so why pay $10 more for +1200k :hihi:
as you can see, I'm a big believer in mixing bulbs in my fixture.
I think you get FAR more enjoyment out of the appearance of
your fish, plants, wood & rocks when the light is so enhanced.

Cool. Time to get some 10000K bulbs then. I was gonna try the 8800K, but the 10000K are a lot cheaper. =)

yeah, a lot of sites are marketing 8800k bulbs like they are the second coming,
but it's really all the same crap, so no need to let yourself get ripped off :icon_mrgr
