96w 7,100K Blue Bulb

I am preparing a 40 gallon breeder tank and trying to find the right bulbs?

I purchased 2x96w compact fluorescent fixture kits as they were on clearance and I picked them up pretty cheap. Now, I am looking to buy the bulbs for them and I found 7,100K Blue bulb on clearance as well, and thought that the price was so good its tough not to use them. I have heard people say that plants won't grow with certain K valued bulbs but then others say their tanks are doing well with that perticular bulb. But I have not seen much talk about the 7100K blue bulb.

So, my question is, can I grow plants with a 7,100K blue blub? Should I buy 2 of them? Or can I pair one up with another bulb for good growth results and look?

The tank is a 40 gallon breeder. I will have 192 watts (4.8 wpg). Also have pressurized co2. Any help?
Thanks,
Brian

I have not heard of 7100K bulbs, but if that is what they are, then they should be fine for plant growth.

You can buy 2 of them, and use both of them. You can also pair one up with another bulb, if you do not particularly like the look of the 7100K bulb.
