I think that's the same kind of shrimp I have. I got him at the new shop in Bixby, Petsmiths. It's a crystal red shrimp right? Are meaty foods good or best for them. I see you're feeding yours blood worms.

Hi Quaz, Petsmith is a great little shop, was just there the other day to buy a new filter for the 220. I just took them 6 juvie albino bristlenose.

I feed my shrimp different things, crab cusine, zuchinni, algae tabs and such. They will eat just about anything.

Gema, the tanks look great. Most of mine aren't scaped since they are species tanks for breeding. When my racks gets built and the tanks on them I will have 25 tanks running. I am also in the process of setting up a 33 long for a trio of sturisomas for breeding.

No I don't own a fish store, but do supply a couple with bristlenose and some plants.

The ones I am really trying hard at breeding is the sturisoma (royal twig cat) and my cories. The bns just do what comes naturally. Most of my fish breed all the time. I have killies that I started with 6 a couple of months ago and now have 18 babies without trying. They were in the bn tank.

That's cool. I could probably learn a lot from you guys. I've kept reef aquariums for years and when I saw the style and beauty of the Amano style planted tanks a few years ago I began to want to try at it myself. I'll send pics of my little shrimp tank. right now though I'm trying to raise money for a zoomed 501 filter for it's tank. No one by chance has one of these laying around? Or, could anyone use a power compact fixture or two. I have like 4 36'' fixtures that hold two 96w bulbs each.

I look forward to getting to know everyone.

I have dagetti that was hatched just a few days ago. If you are able to go to either the OKC or stillwater fish meetings they usually have killies in the auction going as little as 6 for $1.00. Thats how I got mine.

This months meetings have already happened, Next month there will be a big meeting combined with all the chapters in Stroud, time hasn't been set yet but will let you know, Stillwater will be having their next one Sept 19 and they usually start around 2 pm. Soon as I get more details I'll let you know for sure and if your sure your going I will make sure someone brings killies.
