It will cover the bottom, but if you want to have plants(which I assume you do since you are buying ecocomplete) you are going to need roughly twice as much.

i just got back from the pet store and didn't realize how expensive eco-complete is in canada 38.99 a 20lb bag i have a 75g aquarium is 4 bags going to be enough?

Nope. I used 100lbs in my 55g for 3" deep. 30g breeder I used 80lbs for 3" deep.
damn that will throw my eco complete bill up to around 320 bucks
so what if i put the eco complete on the bottom and use normal aquarium gravel on top? will that work?
Sorry about that. I got my Eco from Petmountain, 15.99/20lbs bag and free shipping. I think they still have that deal.
