Wow that has changed alot great job! What is your substrate?
Thanks! Play sand. Goal is to have substrate covered in pearl weed and Monte Carlo in one month. So far goal looks reasonable. I love pearlweed. Monte Carlo still new and adjusting to tank I think.

I got bored and wanted to have something more natural. The tank is mostly HM now. Ordering 3 red Rubin swords

It's still lowtech and I couldn't be happier with HMs ability to grow without co2.

Gives me some hope for my tank, as I can't afford to do co2 at this time.

I really like the way it's looking!

You don't ever have to use co2. You'll just have to experiment with plants and be patient. In a large tank like mine HM is fantastic for carpeting. It just requires medium light and a teeny bit of ferts. I swear it practically grows from nothing of given enough light. It's the last to show nutrient deficiencies.

Made some changes and added my new centerpiece specie- Festivums. The krib juvies in the tank seem concerned a little.

Hemianthus micranthemoides? Hmm

Thanks, yeah I had never heard of them. They are extremely shy for their size. Fortunately they are already paired up so might get lucky.

The tank has changed much over the years! Far less planted now-mostly crypts and sword. Ive gotten more into fauna and the tank is filling up with cichlids. Looking forward to it being full of crypts.
