Just set this up. Its been three years since I've had an aquarium and it's good to be back.

Lighting: Current Sattelite 48-60" LED
Filtration: Sump/Overflow/Trickle DIY
Tank: 75 gal standard(?)
Plants so far: Subwassertang, Java Moss, Watersprite, and Lace-leaf Java fern
Needs Taiwan Moss and some Cherry shrimp.

EDIT: added decent photography to prevent eye bleeds.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I just added a Moss ball and about to put in some crypts. As far as shrimp, due to the fact I'm not rich I will probably start off with 20 at the most.

Yeah, I should have known better. How does someone with a CO2 tank, good lighting, and a total obsession do a 'low tech' as their main aquarium.. already looking up where I can fill up my c02 tank and buy a diffuser... :(

HERE WE GO AGAIN!

Created a sponge pre-filter for my powerhead to protect any fry or shrimp I decide to raise in the sump.

Lighting: I have a Current Sattelite 48" LED with 2 30" Coralife T5NO fixtures; one of the fixtures only has 1 colormax bulb just to brighten the fish a little, the other has two 7500k bulbs. Basically the right side of the tank is High light and the left is low which is why I am using the right side for all the plants that appreciate higher lighting.

Fish: 2 Bolivian Rams; 17 White Cloud minnows, Trumpet snails, about 20 ghost shrimp, and 10 Black Bar Endlers.

Plants: Staurogyne Repens, Crypt Wendetti, Windolev Java Fern, tons of Java Moss, Water Sprite, Alternanthera reineckii, and a bunch of Subwassertang.. oh and a Moss ball. Still awaiting some Taiwan moss in shipment.

Added MTS.
Tank is doing great. I'm patting myself on the back for purchasing Starogyne Repens.. the stuff just looks amazing and hardy. Can't wait for it to spread.

Just tested the water for the first time (I've been using instinct lol):
Ammonia 0ppm
Nitrites 0ppm
Nitrates 20ppm
PH 7.3-7.4

I have some algea growing at the top of the driftwood very close to the light but seems like I can keep it under control by simply lowering my photo-period for a couple days.

Having difficulty gauging my c02.. gonna have to purchase an indicator, just found some solution from my last planted adventure. Maybe I'll Do-IT myself this weekend.

I scored a bunch of new plants for free and my existing ones are doing great. You can't see from my terrible iphone pic but my java moss actuallly looks pretty sharp on my stump on the right.

Week 8. Everything is doing great but ran out of CO2 and won't be able to find more for a few days.

Tank is and has been low tech for a year. Very happy with Lobelia Cardinalis.
