Hi all, long time lurker here

EDIT: Most RECENT PIC:

-------------------------- Original Post Below --------------------------

So here's my 75 gal dedicated to cherry shrimp only. I don't know why, but one day I just felt the urge to put some tiny shrimps into a big ass tank.

Plant Botany Pet supply Terrestrial plant Aquatic plant

Anyways here it is. Very simple setup with simple plants. No dosing, no ferts, no Co2. Just plain beach sand + lights on a timer. Water param......UNKNOWN

Plant Botany Branch Organism Terrestrial plant

As for shrimp, there are only 30 or so. Why so few? Because painted fire reds are expensive!! :crying::crying::crying:

Wood Plant Grass Terrestrial plant Tree

So there it is. Some tiny lil shrimps in a big tank.
Also I lied, there is ONE FISH (which is Otocinclus) in there + 3 amano shrimps

Heres an update, not much change. Plants growing slowly.

Turns out the tds of the tank was 450+ from my previous tank water! I brought it down to 260 eventually, will slowly bring it down some more.

Shrimps being shrimps....also I fed them a slice of banana :0

What range does the TDS need to be to get the Fire Reds to reproduce successfully?

With all of the original 30 being breeding size now and lots of the first batches reaching it, you should be nearing that point where they just explode in numbers. I bet in another 3 months this tank will be crawling with red. Very excited to see updates.
