well i have 180gal tank

try to make it a planted tank

theres a store closing

they selling in store used 72 in t5 lighting fixture for $250

need 12 - 36inch 39 watt t5 bulbs (not included)


should i buy it or is it too expensive?


i have no idea how long that fixture been used

Depending on the brand that may be a really great price. Spend the savings on really nice Giesmann bulbs.

That light is a good buy, but it needs to be raised about 8-10 inches above the top of the tank to avoid having way too much light and not getting enough spread of the light to cover the whole tank. This is assuming that the light has very good reflectors.
