Has anyone already done the leg work to find a place that will fill a 5lb co2 tank instead of swapping. Ive gone as far as googling but have not made any calls as of yet. Looking for anything north of seattle. Im a Marysville resident currently.

Can't say what's in your area, but here I found out the companies that service fire extinguishers are willing to refill your cylinder.
Hi GUPPYGANKER,

Not 'north' but you might try Fire King in So. Seattle (South Park). They fill on sight but call first and find out what days/hours they fill so you don't have to drop it off and come back and pick it up. I believe there is also a fire extinguisher shop in the Fremont area that fills tanks, several of our GSAS members get their tanks filled there....also close to where we hold our regular monthly meetings.
Thanks for the leads guys. I will have to make a few calls Monday morning. I want to get this figured out before I order a shiny new c02 tank that I wont be able to keep. The glut just isn't cutting it for me.

We also have 2 indoor gardening shops right in town and a brew store I want to give a shot.

Seattle_Aquarist I saw your last post about the auction yall had going on. Once the wifes healthy and back to work I will have to hit you GSAS guys up. Id love to commiserate with some fellow hobbyists.

Hi GUPPYGANKER,

You are welcome to attend a meeting as a guest. This month is the big plant auction, next month is our Holiday Party, I think our next speaker will be in January. Lot's of planted tank enthusiasts in the club, including one of the originals - Erik Olson originator of 'TheKrib' back in the '90's. At the end of our typical meetings there is a Monthly Auction, you would not believe the variety of 'rare' plants offered that go for very reasonable prices.
I recently filled my tank up at Alexander Gow in Ballard the other day, which is a ways south of you but something to consider. Many fire safety stores will do this no problem.
