I thought I had it figured out, but now I feel like I am lost again lol. I am trying to avoid a big electric bill from the lighting, so I am re-thinking my choice of doing T5 and now I am looking into LED lighting. Has anyone done this on a standard 55? Or does anyone have any ideas to save $$$ long term from this? I prefer to go high tech. I will do CO2, and I was already figuring on spending 200+ on the light. I want something adjustable if possible, so that I have a big choice from low-high light plants. Thanks!

It is possible to DIY a LED light for a 55 gallon tank that will cost you something around $200, but I don't know any way to buy such a light, and I know you can't if you want to be able to adjust the intensity. Look at the DIY forum and search for LED lights - my last thread there might help. But, expect to spend many hours studying LEDs and how to make them do what you want.
