O would like to buy the 4l of this stuff but I am worried about it going moldy. Based on my tank size and dosing 3 times a week I can get 5 years from the bottle.

Can I keep it from getting moldy for that long? If so how?

Thats a big bottle,i store mine in the frig, but it never lasts more than a year. I would get smaller amounts personally for a couple reasons, my frig is small and it will get difficult measuring with measuring spoons.

I never had mold when kept this way but it does darken which is normal.

Trying to save on cost of dosing. End up saving a fair bit by buying a large amount.

So it has to be in the fridge?
