anyone...?
Not familiar with the brand, but all those claims give me the warm&fuzzies

T6 bulbs are not very common. Using different types of fluorescent bulbs in one fixture is a bit, uhm, uncommon too. Typical with those fixtures, many bulbs are crammed too close together into one small canopy, good for claiming high wattage, but efficiency is reduced due to restrike.

Seems like a good price for a commercial fixture though.
ok thanks for the advice... I'm thinking about getting this...

for all of you too lazy to click on the link, it is a Tek Ready Fit Retro Fit T5 Aquarium Light Kit 2-54W... with out bulbs its only 149.99 with free shipping. what do you think?
enough for a 55 gal?
if you're going to shell out $159, just go with IceCap SLR Retrofit Kit from ReefGeek. For the same price you get better reflectors and it comes with bulbs. (Go with UVL AquaSun for the highest PAR ratings).

Or get a 2x55W bright kit from ahsupply. It's not as efficient as T5HO's on icecap reflectors, but it is cheaper. Heck you can even buy a finished enclosure from the same site to house your lights on!
