Nice setup! I just seen this tank at Petsmart. I just love the footprint of this tank.

Thanks, that is where I got it from when they had it on sale. Perfect size.

Just added some plants and a fish:

5 Threadfin Rainbowfish

I am really looking into pressured Co2. I found a really good deal one craigslist here. They have a setup just like this Freshwater Planted Aquarium Plant Care: Drs. Foster & Smith Deluxe Fully-Automatic CO2 System minus the water pump. They are asking for 100. I can choose between a 5 and 10 lb tank. Most likely I would get the 5lb because this is going into a bedroom. Just want to know if it is really worth it.

His hiding place.

The twig catfish came out of hiding for the photo.

You cant really see but the Rotala sp "Green" is in the back left corner of the tank

that's a hot piece of wood on the left, don't hide it too much

Thanks, I found the set on eBay and couldn't past them up.
Update: 15 January 2013

So I removed the java moss because it was just collecting garbage underneath it.

Took back the Threadfin Rainbowfish and replaced with 5 Lamp Eye Tetra.

I'm not sure what is eating my plants, my guess would be the Lamp Eye's because they are the only new additions. But I havent seen them in the act.

All my red plants are turning green. I have been looking up how to bring the red out but from what I found nothing is 100%. Mainly I am seeing things pointed to light, iron and/or nitrate.

These were a nice red and now have almost completely turned green 2 weeks later.

Envious of how white your sand is staying. I use purigen on my past tank and my water has never been clearer, Ive seen others on here use polishing pads in their filter as well.
My sand as been staying white for the most part. I use Purigen as well as filter floss and filter pads. I use all 3 in my Fluval 206. And I stick some folded Filter pad in between my Emperor 400 filters. I just recently added some MTS snail to aerate and turn over the sand.
It's looking great! Are you thinking about adding some kind of foreground after you got rid of the moss?

I have the same problem with my ludwigia "red". I've started dosing iron to see if it will return to its original color.
Thanks everyone.

I moved my star grass to where the moss was. I'm not sure what to get for foreground. Any you recommend? I Don't know if I am overcrowding the tank.

That will be my next step after I get my phosphates right. Let me know how that turns out.
9 February 2013 Update

. Added some Staurogyne repens (Tropica No 049G) about 2 weeks ago. (going for a small carpet)
. Started dosing extra iron to attempt to bring out the red. (Not sure if that was the cause)
. Just refilled Co2 tank
. Rescaped a bit

Full tank shot (Amazon Sword is getting huge, some of the leaves tips are out of the water)

Staurogyne repens (Tropica No 049G)

Star Grass (Heteranthera zosterifolia)
Thinking about removing it. Not really what I was looking for. Not sure yet.

Plant is still turning green just started to dose extra iron to see if that helps. This is the last one that kept its red color.

If anyone has any suggestions or ideas, throw them my way.

Not sure if anymore plants can be added.
