3spot Gourami experiences?

I got a surprise baby Trichopodus trichopterus in a bag of Sparkling Gouramis (Trichopsis pumila) a few weeks ago. He's now bigger than the biggest Pumila and was like a bull in a China shop and scaring everyone in that tank so I moved him into my 29 gallon CPD/wild guppy tank to grow out some more.

I am pretty sure he will outgrow my 29 too, but I'm not sure if he will thrive in my 60 with Danios and Kribs.

I'd love to hear experiences and good tankmates!
