Hey there, I am new to the community and researching options for my first planted tank. I am sure to have many questions but to start off I am looking at two particular tanks. Going in my living room corner, I am deciding between a 26 gallon bowfront and 36 gallon corner bowfront. However, I have not seen any stands for sale for the 36. Does anyone know where to purchase one or an affordable place that would build one? I also cannot seem to find a regular 26g bowfront stand with front door cabinet access. I was planning on running a canister filter so I would assume this is essential! Any help or leads in the right direction are greatly appreciated! Thanks.

Check out the aqueon site. They have stands for corner 36 gallon bow front with a usable cabinet space for a canister. I bet if you email them...customer service can tell you where to get it.

I had the same setup and wound up using a TV Corner Stand instead. When I was looking, I generally found that TV stands were much cheaper and better built.

If you have any tools (circular saw(or even a handsaw and some determination) and power drill), it's not difficult to make a really sturdy stand out of 2x4s

Thank you guys for the advice. I am just going to shop around on the internet for awhile or quickly befriend a carpenter.

I have a 36G Corner and my advise - stay away from it, especially if it's your first tank. It is one of the most difficult shapes (aside from hex towers) to get the filtering and flow right. I've been struggling with mine for ~6 years.

Thanks for the input OVT. I have read that they can be tricky to light as well, given their shape. I am leaning more towards a 26g bowfront now.
