So at the moment this whole dry dosing is about as clear as mud to me!

In the nutrient realm of things there is micro and marco right?

Micros is CSM + B ?
Macros is Potassium Nitrate (KNO3)?
Mono Potassium Phosphate (KH2PO4)?
Potassium Sulfate (K2SO4)?
Is that right?

I am wanting to dose dry ferts and what to make sure what to get and how much to dose of it. Also have heard of dosing trace? Is that trace elements Like Flourish trace?

Sorry I am kinda confused and need direction LoL

You got it! Don't think so much, buy the powders and dose according to what the sticky reads and reduce or increase a little as you read and watch the tank and ponder on the whole thing.

I never could remember the what the numbers on fertilizer bags for the garden meant until I figured out NPK+micros for the fish tank. You don't want to know how long that took me to figure out!

I'm new to this too. I watch and wait and change the dose, move the lights, buy more plants, move plants, trim plants, watch and wait. I started out with trying to figure out stock solutions for dosing. Just tonight I changed to scoop and dump. It's all about figuring out what works for your tank and you.

If you are new to plants, the first thing is to get them to grow and see how they grow. Pictures of successful tanks and reference pics give you a comparison to your plants prosperity. Feel free to experiment. However, change only one thing at a time. Welcome to the wonderful world of planted tanks. Just don't give up. The outcome is so very rewarding.

This is the regime in the sticky
20~40gal
50% H20 change-weekly
1/4 Tsp-KN03 3x a week
1/16 Tsp-KH2P04 3x aweek
1/2 Tsp-GH booster once a week
5ml or 1/16Tsp-Trace 3x a week
Optional
1-2ml-Fe/Iron 3x a week

Is this what I need to try at first or different amounts?
I don't think I will need to add GH booster as I don't have soft water. Also what is the trace it is talking about? Is that CSM+B?

you seem to have it sorted start from there and adjust up or down as you see fit.
yes that is the trace it is talking about, its more commonly called micro nutrients (the others are macro nutrients)

"Traces", "trace elements", "trace mix", "micros" is CSM+B, or Flourish Comprehensive, or any number of other similar mixes. If you are using a liquid trace element mix, dose the 5 ml. If you are using a dry mix (Plantex CSM+Boron), dose the 1/16 teaspoon.
