Well, about a year ago I asked this forum what light for my 29g, Hoppy and other suggested the Coralife 30" Freshwater fixture (2x18watt T5NO, 6700k and "Colormax"). I bought it and love the light. Well the 29 came crashing down long ago, now I have a 26 gallon Acrylic tank (36x12x16) and I'm wanting to reuse the 30" Coralife. However I'm not sure how to mount it. On the 29, I had it sitting on a glass hood/cover, 2-3 inches from the waters surface. Now with the Acrylic 26, it has a center brace and I don't think I should have the light directly on acrylic... Right now I have blocks on wood supporting it with the wires it has. I'm wanting to keep with low light plants such as: Anubias Nana, Java Fern, Moneywort, etc.
