Very nice!

What are your plans for it?

Lot's of options with a tank that size.

I'll be following along.

The stand looks questionable. The distressed wood at the bottom looks like water damaged plywood sheeting. I'd be leery of placing 2200 lbs on that without going through it extensively.

220g is quite the tank. Plenty of options as mentioned and I am very excited to see what you do as well!
The FX4 may claim to be rated for a tank this size, but it won't suffice for total water movement. You'll need a power head or a secondary filter. Just a heads up! There are some adjustable powerheads on amazon starting at $50 and even a cheap $5 sunsun powerhead would probably do just fine since you have a larger tank.

I'm actually just moving my piranhas from my 125 into it and getting more. Nothing too exciting lol

Before I google powerheads I'll ask you since I'm lazy lol what exactly are they and their purpose? I'm assuming like you mentioned water movement?

It is water movement. A tank this large will need a lot of force to move water throughout the entire tank. Usually people use multiple sources, maybe a second filter or a couple power heads. A power head is just a turbine that spins and moves water. Definitely look at tank builds of this size and see what people have set up to circulate the water around the tank. Very important with plants since you want nutrients to be available to them all.

What if it won't be planted? Still important?

And it begins. I know it needs a black backdrop to look better I just couldn't wait lol

Guess what! Leak at the bottom that didn't reveal itself until it was full! Frantic syphoning out to driveway and using 2 five gallon buckets. STRESS

I've been there myself! I'll never set up a tank without leak testing it first. The stand looks like it has water damage, does it show through on the inside? Definitely set the tank up in the garage for a few weeks. Resealing a glass aquarium isn't difficult from what I've read. You will need patience and a bit of time though.

Water movement is important in all tanks IMO. Salt water tanks use even more water movement than we do in planted tanks. If it is a fish only tank, it may not matter as much but you'll likely want more filtration if that is the case.
Did you buy that tank second hand from a store? If so I would be asking for compensation for selling a leaky tank...

if you look at my build log for my 180 i went through 3 other 180's before my current didnt have any issues. big glass tanks seem very hard to get right. Good luck

Fortunately my fish store is picking it up and resealing it for me and retesting it. I could have gotten a refund but might as well let them seal it

that is a ton of water to trust a reseal. do they build tanks or know what they are doing? otherwise I would just buy new.

It's back! Seal looks cleaner. Held water at the shop for days. Now being patient and getting a black background and trying to fill again!
