Okay do you think a light strip with two T5s, 2 14w daylight bulbs, would be good to grow plants on one side of the tank? Like if i put that light fixture directly over one side.

I think you would get low light under that 2 x T5NO light, if it is a Coralife light, possibly more if it is a brand with a better reflector. The tank will look odd though.

I agree on the odd, but could be interesting if little growth is wanted. HMmmmm....
