Honestly I'm a little dismayed to see so many cross entires from IAPLC.

there are always lots of cross entries. but if you have a great scape why not show it off!
great showing this year! I've been checking a couple times a week to see if the this years photos were up! so excited to see them

Personally I think it's unfair to original participants, I can spot at least 3 scapes that I recognize from the top IAPLC entires.

It's nice to see so many nice biotope entries this year though, I wonder if the trend will continue.

I don't think the analogy applies. It's not an uncommon rule in artistic contests of any type to require original entries, e.g. having requirements that the entries be created exclusively for the contest, and not having been submitted to other contests previously. I'm actually sort of surprised that this rule isn't more prevalent in the aquascaping world.

Again, personally I think it's unfair to other entrants, and I also happen to like the original style that many AGA entries have, it can be boring to see the same IAPLC scapes recycled for contest after contest.
