I figured I'd start a new thread since the tank looks much different from when i started it. Been running for 3-4 months now. It needs a serious trim but I'm actually really happy with how it's grown in. I'm going to edit in specs a little later I'm too lazy right now. Sorry for the crap picture.Let me know what you think.

Can I get some love? LoL Anyhow this tank has been running almost 4months and the driftwood very annoyingly is still releasing tannins. I soaked it for a week before starting the tank and pressure washed it. I'm am considering removing it. But I love the way it looks

Thanks I agree but when plants are being hidden by others that are overgrown it time for a trim

looking good. if you put some purigen in you filter it will clear that tank up in like 3 hours. it absorbs organic based materials in the water, including tannins

Thanks. I find it interesting that "It looks larger than a 20" is actually the most common thing people have said about this tank. I think the driftwood makes that happen. It sort distorts the scale. It's cool when I start a "scape" I never really know how it'll turn out. I have a loose idea of what it will look like but not much else. It's fun to hear what people think of the final product.

Tank:20 gallon long
Substrate: flourite dark with a little large pea gravel and extra laterite underneath
Heat:none
Filter: Penguin 100 x2 (switching to a canister soon)
Lights: 65watt 6700K pcf (double fixture only running 1 bulb until I get a proper cO2 system)

Ferts: Excel and biolabs all in one micro and mac

Ok made some major changes I think for the better. I was fighting green water for awhile finally clearing up. I'm really happy with the new look. Sorry for the low quality picture I'm going to take some proper pics soon. Let me know what you think

Thank you I can't wait for the grow back and I am going to add/remove a few more plants. and I'm going to start DIY co2 this week. But for now here's some better pictures

Looking for opinions on if a basic 2liter DIY co2 setup is worth doing on this tank
