The Amanos jumped out...Found one of em 10 feet away from the tank!
Quite a haul for a shrimp. About a week later my Ghosts were gone. Same fate?...I only house Tetras and a lone Cory. My boy and I really love watching the shrimp...How can I avoid this?
If it's a rimless you could lower the water level to a couple inches below the top. This doesn't look as good but may discourage escapes. If you have a cheaper petsmart type you could always use a hood. Again, I don't like the look as much but it'll keep the shrimp in the tank.
Shrimp *generally speaking* don't exit the tank unless there is a problem with the water quality... what are your parameters? The more info you can give us, the better able we will be to help you with your problem.
You know....When it happened with the Amanos the tank (10gal petsmart type unit), I was experiencing an ammonia spike. The ghosts left with good parameters pre-c02 installation. The Cory wouldn't bother them would he?
