Hi, my 120g tank has been setup for over 3 months now and had some algea problems im getting under control. I was using co2 for a while but due to work projects the co2 tank is empty and havent got i filled back up. The tank has been without co2 for about a month and havnt seen much problems not using it. Should i worry about not using co2. Please tell me what you think of the tank and any sugestions you might have to improve it. The last pic is when i first planted the tank.

very nice. i like your school of angels. the setup looks mildly unfocused bot if you scape it out and add maybe some dwarf sag. for a carpet it would look even better its got good potential. what are you running for lights? ferts?

thanks for the reply, I really didnt know how big some of those plants would get and im going to move them around a little this winter when i slow down at work. I like your idea on adding some of those other plants 2. I have 1 250w 10,000k metal halide, and i dosed some ferts at first but because i had some algea problems i quit dosing for awhile. What ferts do you think i should use. I did use 1" of eco complete for substrate.

The ferts you sometimes have to experiment with. any dry ferts will do. Orlando at GLA has great prices. It looks like you have had tremendous growth especially the vals in the back. as for the scape there are many websites that you can find inspiration( including this site ), there are a lot of things you can do to improve your scape. i have also been busy lately and it is hard to work on a tank when youve got other things going on, but it is a great stress reliever.

I liked the 1st picture. What happened to the plants in the back.

Your light looks low enough to go with out Co2. Possibly dosing with KNO3 would keep algae at bay. I works in my non Co2 tank.
