Looks like that should be plenty. The spectrum should grow plants reasonably well. Hard to tell how much light it is since they don't list PAR or even lumen data, just wattage. It doesn't look like there's a dimming option; there's definitely a possibility that it might be too much light for such a small tank. I have 80 watts of high quality LEDs on my 48 gallon, and I run it at 50% to get to mid-high light (65 PAR at the substrate).

Well I technically have 2 8W versions which are essentially the 16W versions cut in half. Is one 8W enough by itself? I've tried HC and it grew tall and leggy with the 8W and no co2. Not sure if to contribute that to the lack of co2 or lack of light.
