Looking to create a simple, planted scape with some Altum angels in it. I plan on using a braceless tank but am having real trouble finding a good looking stand.

Would something like this be able to hold the weight?

first we dont know the dimensions of tank to know weight
no one can tell by looking at a picture if its strong enough
that furniture is not designed to take that much weight
that being said it could possible be reinforced from the inside
if you look at the front side and take away doors and drawers what holding the front not much

You could make it work, by removing the row of drawers, and just attaching the drawer fronts as fake drawers. Then add a frame of 2 x 4's or equivalent to support the top of the chest, probably with internal, hidden vertical 2 x 4's at each corner. It isn't a terribly difficult job, but you would need wood working skills to do it well.
