If legit, this isn't a bad deal for the area considering on the very same page you're getting a 30 gallon tank w/ some extras for $300!!

While we're all here lets talk all about the ridiculously overpriced aquariums on Craigslist right now.

The more I look at these (especially the one for $2000!!), the more I think I should pick this one up and just hold on to it for later.

**EDIT* The listing for the tank above now says 50 gallons which makes this not such a good deal imo. I swear when I looked at it it said 150 gallon. Whoops.

yea the guy for $2000 will never sell it like that, he needs to sell the fish first then sell the equipment because not everyone will be willing to buy it or even look at talking to him if the fish have to be bought with it, but this 125 isn't a bad deal here,m i just don't like that it is a 5footer vs a 4x2x2 https://spacecoast.craigslist.org/for/5544696576.html
craigslist has just as many good deals as bad deals. Over the years we've purchased many tanks from ads listed there, never more than $1 per gallon. Lots of 10g's for $5 ea. Considering that PetCo & PetsMart regularly have $1 per gallon sales for brand new Aqueon brand tanks, 10g to 40g, we really shouldn't be paying >$1 per gallon for most sizes of used tanks. Request that the seller have it full of water before cash is rendered to be sure there are no leaking seams. And be very wary of buying used heaters, just because the red light comes on when it's plugged in doesn't necessarily mean that it heats. I've been burned before. No pun intended.
i might sell my 75gal(in signature tank and stand) if i get the eheim tank, if you would be looking in something of that range.
yea main reason i am looking at this eheim tank for the price is its way nicer than any of the other tanks in this range i have seen for the last few years, i still have a old 150 drilled that needs some work and my 300g frag tank needs new sealing and on a tank that is 6ft long and over 3ft wide from when i had my saltwater addictions as a kid
well bought the eheim 460l and man is it ridiculously nice, only thing i bicker about it is the drilled holes are about 10" in from one side in the middle of the tank, which doesn't make much sense since they give you a kit to hook up a canister filter to it but how the hell is the spray bar going to work with it being in the middle vs one corner in the side? only thing i can think of is have a custom lily pipe made to where it runs down the side in the middle and hooks to the pipe in the bottom thru the tank.
I saw that tank. Congrats on the purchase. It's an absolute beauty. I'm waiting on a good deal for something like a 120 or greater and if I see it I'll be all over it. The things in my neck of the woods seem to be vastly over priced so I'll probably be waiting a while. Fortunately I probably wouldn't even get around to setting it up for another year so I can afford to be patient.
