first off i want to just want to say this site is awesome.
this will be my very first planted tank, any help, or suggestion
would be much appreciated.

pics:

substrate - fluval statum
filter - ac20
lighting - finnex fugeray 20'
flora - Xmas moss, Blyxa japonica, Starougyne repens (should receive tomorrow)
hardscape - stones from lake (still working on layout)
driftwood - manzanita
heater - hydor theo 100w
fauna - ember tetras (will be cycling with barbs)

at this point ill probably be removing some of the substrate, to
add my hardscape, and driftwood. once the plants arrive ill be adding
them to the tank, get it filled, and go from there.

im not exactly sure what tank this is i purchased from someone on craigslist,
dimensions are 19.5wx13dx14h(in.) or 50wx35dx33h(cm)
i had been searching everywhere for a tank with curved egdes, and got lucky.
but before i found the tank i almost picked up one of these:

I think it's going to turn out nice! Keep going. I'd like to know which tank that is too.

these are the plants i purchased from member: h4n
many thanks.
i ended up butchering these plants, hopefully they turn out all right

setup

after i filled tank and acclimated the barbs. had to put the rock on the manzinita to
keep it down.

24 hours or so later and the tank is really cloudy. im assuming this is normal,
from what ive read.

i did water test:
pH-6.4 Ammonia-0 Nitrites-0 Nitrates-5.0ppm

im not sure if i should add some root tabs at this point, i did add a cap full
excel...right now im kind of feeling a bit unsure about this cycling process.

The numbers look good.
I would wait on root tabs.
The water should start clearing up soon.
Killing h4n's plants takes some effort :)
