This is mostly for me to see the progress on this tank, but feel free to follow along! This is going to be a slow build.
On May 16th, 2022 my grandfather passed away unexpectedly. He and my disabled grandmother had a 100 gallon aquarium that he maintained for a very long time. Me being the aquarist of the family, I ended up with it.
To begin with, the tank is in extremely rough shape. It had been left with no life and very little maintenence for a long time before his passing. So, the entire tank and stand are getting completely redone.
Below is a picture of the stand after having the doors removed. I plan to paint the stand to match my 60 gallon cube tank.

Today I finally had the time and energy to clean out the tank! After doing so I realized that it's most likely gonna need to be resealed, which I've never done before.
I want this tank to be super lush, preferably not high tech, with all small fish. A big group of threadfin rainbows is what I'm thinking.
