I found $1 2cm Cardinal Tetras and $1.50 Otocinclus in Chinatown;
Win Tropical Aquariums, 169 Mott Avenue near Broome St.
When I came, he had hundreds of them, and they all acclimated
perfectly once I got them home, so he kept them in good shape.
this is a small family store, and they stock many plant friendly fish.
the owner speaks perfect English, so you can plan your trip by
checking with him first over the phone at; 212.343.2875
this is probably a great guy to deal with when you are looking
to buy a large school of tetras, barbs, rasboras, whatever :proud:

update: 4 of 12 fish had a visible fin rot decease when I got them home.
6 died within a week. I must have bought them when he just got delivery
and they had not had time to die in the LPS own tank.
oh well... just thought people should know.

Yea Wins tropical fish a great place, they got shrimps for 1.50, And Red Dragon flowerhorns
i bought cardinals from them before and i had no issues. i guess it can be a hit or miss. i've never had any issues with his fish, but i'm sure any LFS will have fin rot/ich issues.

btw, his store doesn't have much of a selection of plants and his RCS supply is running thin. anyone know of another place within Manhattan to go to?
I got my Cardinals from Robert(owner of Wins) for 75 cents each. He's a good guy and a local store worth supporting. For RCS, the only place I've found them was Pacific on Delancy(4.99 a shrimp). I get my rcs either from aquabids or good folks in this forum.

hope it helps
