Anyone know where I can find an AquaMedic 1000. I can't seem to find any online. I found them in Europe but that online store did not ship to the states. Could anyone offer an as good/better alternative? Thanks in advance.
I run a sunsun 704b on my tank, and was looking into co2 reactors. I cant seem to find any reactors for larger canisters. The canister's flow rate is 525gph and the hose size (I believe) is 3/4 inch ID. Does anyone know of any reactors designed for the larger canisters, or one that...
So I have a lot of time to think about aquariums but not much space to build one until after my wife and I buy a new house. This has lead me down several experimental rabbit holes as a fun way to pass the time.
My latest thought is wondering if its possible to simulate the natural process of...
So full disclosure, I have never run a high tech tank, though I am in the planning stages of my first. I was/am planning to run injected CO2 from a 10 lb tank via a DIY reactor.
While I was thinking about this I began to wonder if "Injected" CO2 is necessary for any plant we might want...
I am in the process of receiving all my CO2 parts and haven't used CO2 injection ever so I am very green to the concept. I see many people mentioning reactors with canister filters, which I currently use on my 55. What is the use of these and why are they needed/preferred?
Howdy everyone. I have a 55gal tank with an Eheim 2217 and a hydor koralia 240 for flow. I'm finally at that point where I'm ready to undertake the CO2 addition. I try to buy solid equipment for my tank, so I'm asking for what has worked best for you guys. I can easily DIY stuff, so if that's...
Have a 150g with a CO2 regulator hooked up to the return side of canister filter running through CO2 reactor. Have it set to ~ 2bps. The drop checker does not change from blue even when placed closer to the filter return (where CO2 comes in to tank).
Overall, water is high PH (well...
I have a paintball co2 setup on my 20 gallon tank with an inline diffuser. I have decided that I am tired of all the bubbles so its time to go get a CO2 reactor. Does anyone have any recommendations on what CO2 reactor works for them that doesn't take up a ton of space? I don't have much room...
Hello good people of tpt.net!
I've been lurking around for couple of months to get any kind of experience that you generously share before I set up my amateur tank. Now I need your help once again to make my SERA reactor work properly.
My tank is 300 lt. (80 gallons approx.) while the net...
I recently built a pretty big cerges reactor for my 200 gallon and was confused about which direction the water should flow in and out of the reactor. There seems to be a lot of mixed opinions on this and was wondering if there is a consensus on what works better. Right now the...
Hey, sorry if this has been answered already I am having a hard time finding opinions so I wanted to start this thread.
I have a SunSun 304B on my 75G. I am also running a small AquaClear 20 as well to keep the BB alive for a quarantine tank if necessary.
I just started with CO2 injection and...
Is anybody on this forum familiar with the Rio 90 Power CO2+ Reactor & Surface Skimmer? Just saw this online and am now considering purchasing it but would love to hear some feedback about it before I spend any money... Here is the link: TAAM, Aquarium Products
I have recently decided to move from a traditional glass diffuser to something inline. My question is, for a 60P, would it be more cost effective/efficient to build a Rex Griggs (or similar style reactor) or buy one like the ista turbo? If the answer is the latter, do you have one in...
I've decided to go back to low-tech, low maintenance so I'm parting with my CO2 set up. This is essentially a turn key system:
1 Fisher Scientific Dual Stage Regulator kitted as follow:
-Fisher Model 10575139 Regulator
-Swagelok SS-4MG Stainless Meteriing valve
-Swagelok 1/4" Stainless Check...

How do you know how much CO2 you're putting in to your system? With an in tank diffuser you can count the bubbles to get an idea of how much you're injecting but with an inline reactor/diffuser, you can't see anything. Do you just guesstimate it?
Here's my DIY co2 reactor. My first time working with PVC (hence, all the primer everywhere. really wished I had gone with clear).
Its got a GLA check valve and a ball valve to help with priming. Aside from that pretty basic RG reactor.
I had just created this DIY External 100% CO2 Diffuser Reactor for my planted aquarium tank to solve the following problem.
1. I want an efficient CO2 diffuser that is 100% effective
2. I don't unsightly stuff in my planted tank
3. I want to turn on my CO2 only when the lights is on.
Wanted to try a needlewheel for CO2 on my 90 gallon, but didn't want to run a sump. Just injecting straight into the intake wasn't really giving me the finer bubbles that I wanted, so the resulting monstrosity is what it turned into. Works surprisingly well.
I curious if anyone can give me any advice about my plan to set up a pressurized low tech system. please tell me if i am missing something.
Fyi: this system is going into a 40 gallon tall aquarium with 1 finnex 2 led 7000k and 1 Fluval planted led with moonlight. I am dosing...
