pygmy cories

  1. Planted Nano Tanks
Hi everyone, This week I started a new nano tank while deconstructing my other two 10 gal tanks, this jar can hold about 5 gallon but with substrate it about 4 gallon. Right now it is stocked with 5 pygmy cories, Red Tiger Lotus, Monte Carlo, Aponogeton Crispus, and Hydroc. Triparta, some kind...

I added CPDs to a tank with nothing but cherry shrimp a few weeks ago, and they have all (7) been doing well. I happened to get 4 males and 2 females and a little one that I don't know the gender of, so the M:F ratio might be a little off. But they swim together and are very active and out in...

Today I picked up a brand new, apparently unused twenty gallon high aquarium, with a Whisper 10 - 15 gallon capacity HOB filter, for ten dollars at a flea market. The tank passed the leak test, and the filter runs fine too - which also doesn't even look like it was ever used. I found the...

So I've been researching into the various species of pygmy cories and it seems like there's a lot of confusion between them. I'm looking for pygmy cories that stay on the bottom of the tank rather than swimming in the middle. Is there such a thing? And how do you tell the different species apart?
