I recently did a dry start method with Glosso seeds and everything went well. Once i had a good thick 1.5inch layer I added water then a couple days later added 6 Mollies. Now 1 week later all the fish have died and I'm getting patches of dead glosso.
It's a brand new 144L tank with...
So I have been reading a bit about glosso, and how the market has been flooded by knock-off seeds and plants from china called Xiaozhuang, which ends up growing larger and more bushy than the normal glosso. Does anyone know reputable seller or a good way to tell the 2 apart?
Because I am...
I've had my 20 gallon running about 3 months now with CO2, high light(?), and fertilizers. There is also about 20 endler guppies and some neos. I'm happy to say I am having good growth with Glossostigma elatinoides, but there are some yellow leaves under there and without proper light...
My next project is going to be a high tech 27 gallon cube. I'm planning on a dirt substrate capped with something, either BDBS or extra fine Contrasoil. I've grown glosso for several years in Seachem Flourite (regular stuff, not the sand) with ok results, but I usually have trouble getting it...
Hi all, I'm in the process of setting up a new planted and would kindly like some input on these two carpetting plants: I'm aware that HC requires both high light and CO2, but haven't actually found much from online research on glossostigma elatinoides (everything seems to be outdated info from...
First post on this great resource of a website. I am relatively new to this hobby. By saying that, I have kept aquariums for the last three years and slowly introduced myself to plants. That being said, I have become quite engaged in this hobby and I am trying to take my skills...
I'm new to planted tanks, and I wanted to get someone's opinion. I have a 20gal high, moderate lighting, black diamond blasting sand, and I'm still debating doing the mineralized topsoil or just dosing ferts.
Which one would you recommend to a beginner? Is there a difference with lighting...

Looking to buy a good portion of Glosso or DHG for a carpet in my new high tech 55g. Looking for generous portions =P. just pm me what you have and a ballpark price your looking to get!
First time planting glossostigma and I am looking for some feedback. I have broken it up into individuals stems. It's a bit leggy which I'm assuming is the result of being grown emersed.
Should I let it root before before trimming it down to smaller stems?
I also read somewhere of a planting...
I have recently trimmed and sent out some plants, but I have some leftover.

I just started getting into aquascaping, and right now I am working on growing a carpet. I got started with some dwarf baby tears, and they died. The dwarf grass is growing, but is taking really slow. I've heard that glosso are good, so that might be the next ones that I'll try. I'm looking for...
Looking to buy a nice large, clean and healthy portion of glosso. If you have other stuff for sale with the glosso, please let me know and I'll consider purchasing other plants as well.
Please PM me!!!
If I was to silicone a piece of egg crate about an inch from the back on my aquarium and put some weed out/mesh behind it and then fill the gap with substrate, could I poke holes in the mesh and put individual plants into each hole? I was thinking of using glosso or some other carpeting plant.
