fin rot betta

So i've kept about 5 betta fish and am on number 6. They all had the uncanny ability to be susceptible to fin rot. 2 of them died from it. I was wondering how to prevent that from happening to my new betta, Neptune. Thanks for the help, i appreciate it.

Hello! My Platinum white halfmoon dumbo betta has pretty badly ripped fins :(. He is very healthy eats frozen and the best pellets. I also house ghost shrimp and an adult brisslenose pleco with my betta. She often leaves lots of poop everyday(a lot). My water chemistry is practically perfect...

There are no other fish in the tank- just 4 apple snails and 10...

This might be a stupid question, but it's such a controversial topic I just want to make sure: is it safe for me to treat my betta's minor fin rot with Bettafix? I used to have two Endler-Guppies in the tank with my Betta and the larger Endler always had a knack for nipping and bullying his...

I woke up this morning and saw that my betta's fins were all frayed and kind of whitish. He was perfectly fine last night. His water is crystal- clear, although I just noticed yesterday some patches of weird powdery brown mold on the side of the tank. Is this fin rot or does that not happen this...
